Shift:
- AM Shift (Hours to be determined)
The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience with precision measuring instruments, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a safe manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes to ensure quality and production efficiency
- Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot machining issues as needed
- Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and required documentation
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic servicing of machines and equipment
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and productivity
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Previous experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and quality inspection procedures
- Experience performing machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
