Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest quality RF electronic products are produced and that all internal and external requirements are met prior to shipping products to our customers. The QA Manager must have experience dealing with ISO, AS, IPC and MIL-STD requirements, and be able to lead a team in executing the quality standards and processes for the company.
Responsibilities include supporting procedures to ensure quality, reliability, repeatability and efficiency of all products in production, ensuring that all incoming, in‑work and final inspections are in compliance with the appropriate quality standards, performing defect analysis and corrective action documentation and implementation, and preparing and performing AS9100/ISO
9001 internal audits. Ongoing efforts to continually improve quality in the manufacturing area are expected.
- Supervise and motivate the Quality staff as well as other staff members to produce the highest quality products
- Ensure manufacturing compliance to quality standards and Mission policies/procedures
- Maintain compliance to customer requirements, skilled at customer interactions and reporting
- Conduct supplier evaluations, interactions and audits
- Maintain records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
- Provide detailed in‑process inspections and establish processes to verify conformance to design requirements
- Oversee corrective actions and prevent non‑conformances
- Drive continuous improvement; assist Engineering in root cause analysis and corrective action
- Communicate and help resolve quality issues in a timely manner
- Observe technical operations and offer guidance/recommendations as they relate to quality
- Provide quality training and guidance to Mission leadership and departments as needed
- Minimum of 7 years of QA experience
- Knowledge of IPC 610, MIL-STD‑883, MIL-STD‑750, MIL-STD‑1580
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9102 regulations
- Knowledge of ESD procedures
- Experience creating, reviewing and processing NCMRs, CARs, SCARs, PARs, etc.
- Knowledge of materials and processes (metals, ceramics, electronics, plastics, semiconductors)
- Knowledge of epoxies and bonding materials
- Ability to read and understand engineering, process, assembly and traveler documentation
- Comfortable communicating with various engineers and managers
- Experience with training and certification
- Knowledge of airborne, avionics, RF, analog and digital products
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to motivate and lead a team
- Sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality
- High‑school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or college diploma a plus
- Quality certifications a plus
- Prior supervisory experience
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office software and Windows
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, common fractions and decimals
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret bar graphs
- Apply simple mathematics (calculus, statistics, probability theory)
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Apply logic and scientific method to a wide variety of intellectual and practical problems; comprehend basic formulas, graphs, etc.
Employees will regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Frequently sitting; occasionally standing, walking, climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxins, electrical shock, and moderate noise is possible.
100% onsite during assigned hours.

Pay$85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
