Overview
Vin Motion USA is seeking a AI Motion Research Scientist to develop advanced AI algorithms for humanoid robot motion control. This position requires expertise in Reinforcement Learning (RL), Whole-Body Control (WBC), Imitation Learning, Optimal Control, and AI-powered Motion Planning. You will work closely with a world-class team of AI engineers to design intelligent, adaptive, and real-time motion control systems that enhance robotic agility and dexterity, making humanoid robots more human-like in movement.
Responsibilities- AI Research & Development
- Develop and optimize Reinforcement Learning (RL), Imitation Learning models for robotic skill acquisition and motion adaptation.
- Design and implement Whole-Body Control (WBC) and Model Predictive Control (MPC) strategies for real-time adaptation, energy efficiency, and dynamic balance.
- Apply Deep Reinforcement Learning to real-time motion planning and trajectory optimization.
- Utilize Sim2
Real techniques to improve the transfer of AI models from simulation to real-world deployment. - Enhance collision avoidance, force control, and torque-based control through AI-powered predictive modeling.
- Work closely with hardware, software, and control teams to integrate AI algorithms into real-world robotic systems.
- Research and test efficient AI architectures optimized for edge computing and real-time execution.
- Develop robust motion control models capable of handling uncertainty in real-world environments.
- Real-World Application
- Contribute to prototype development and support the transition of AI technologies into real-world robotic products.
- Collaborate with universities and research institutes to advance AI motion control research.
Education
- Master’s or Ph.D. in AI, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in AI research and development for robotics.
- Proven experience implementing AI motion control algorithms in real-world or simulated robotic systems.
- Strong understanding of robot kinematics, sensor fusion, torque control, and human-like motion generation.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Reinforcement Learning (RL), Imitation Learning, Model Predictive Control (MPC), and Whole-Body Control (WBC).
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Tensor Flow, PyTorch.
- Experience with robotics simulation frameworks such as ROS, Mujoco, Gazebo, Isaac Gym.
- Prior experience with Edge AI optimization for real-time motion execution is a plus.
