Bridge the space between coding and company leadership. As our Software Engineering Lead, you will partner directly with the Director of Engineering to mentor our software team, scale our development processes, and architect the future of OK International's next-generation product ecosystem. In this role, you will close any gaps between hardware and software, designing system-level architectures for our global portfolio of precision tech—including advanced soldering, rework, and dispensing systems.

• Lead software engineering and create a stimulating work environment that delivers on project needs and fosters growth.
• Develop and maintain software engineering processes for development, testing, release, and deployment for embedded systems.
• Bridge the space between engineering and product management to define software ecosystem for OK International’s product portfolios.
• Perform software reviews and be involved with requirements analyses, system risk analyses, software reliability analysis.
• Mentor software engineers on good coding practices, testing, maintenance, and documentation.
• Compile data and prepare reports regarding the software project tasks. Participate in projects of significant complexity and scope involving state-of-the-art soldering equipment and dispensing equipment.
• Member of a multifunctional project team delivering new product launches on time and within budget. This includes conferring with engineers, product managers, and others to detail engineering projects and products.
• Involvement in the generation of system and sub-system software specifications, proposals, and creation of proof of concepts.
• Designing, coding, and debugging applications for prototypes and production systems. These systems include microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and direct user interfaces.
• Development and implementation of software testing and quality assurance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 7 years of active experience in embedded software and systems development.
• 2 years of leading projects and/or technical teams
• Experience with Agile software development process, scrum master preferred.
• Strong analytic background, with understanding of microcontroller, digital control/feedback circuits, and user interfaces.
• Desired experience on systems that require understanding of motion, fluid dynamics, and/or thermal dynamics.
• Demonstrated leadership skills of functional teams with direct reporting.
