QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred.
* Possess a working knowledge of basic accounting skills.
* Proficient in general office skills with a strong emphasis in data entry, accounting and record-keeping/record management.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Proficient use of 10-Key.
* Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrate ability to effectively solve problems, and collect/analyze data, numbers and facts.
* Minimum of one (1) year experience in a business office environment. School district experience preferred.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
244 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$32,367 - CP4
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Responsible for all accounts payable/receivables for the department.
* Create and maintain electronic purchase orders and supporting documents.
* Perform mathematical calculations related to job functions.
* Maintain accurate accounting of all collected funds.
* Reconcile EZ tag account on a monthly basis.
* Regular communication with the Director of Transportation and the Assistant Director of Fleet Services regarding monthly expenditures and budgetary recommendations for transfers of funds to maintain sound and legal budgetary practices.
* Create and maintain financial tracking documents regarding actual performance versus budget assumptions and end of year projections.
* Create and maintain a multi-year budget outlook, including capital budgeting.
* Record Region IV Bus Certification courses for employee reimbursements.
* Ensure customer service skills are evident in daily communication, including telephone calls, emails, and personnel interactions.
* Build and maintain effective business relationships with department, district, community and vendors.
* Ensure adherence to deadlines.
* Assist with dispatching, payroll, human resources and center activities as directed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
