This contract position offers the opportunity to work across the district, collaborating with school teams and empowering students with visual impairments to achieve their full potential. Qualifications:

• Active TVI educator license required
• Experience supporting students with visual impairments in educational settings
• Strong skills in assessment, instructional planning, and materials adaptation
• Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers
• Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy abilities
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and independence for students

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to a district wide itinerant caseload
• Assess student needs and assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Create and adapt instructional materials to ensure accessibility
• Train and support school staff on best practices for inclusion and learning strategies for visually impaired students
• Guide families regarding resources and assistive technology
• Maintain required documentation and communicate student progress effectively
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district as assigned
