Position: At-Risk Specialist, 2026-2027, MILLSAP ELEMENTARY
QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university;

2. Master's Degree from a recognized, accredited, college or university preferred;

3. Texas certification in special education;

4. Texas certification in elementary or secondary education preferred;

5. Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience as a certified special education teacher preferred;

6. Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, coaching, and collaborating with teachers.

SALARY:

$67,640/IA-3

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coach campus/district staff in implementation of behavioral strategies and interventions which results in positive student behavior.

Assist individual teachers with developing structured and direct teaching strategies/interventions that result in positive student behavior.

Assist teachers/campus staff with the development of effective and measurable behavior intervention plans (BIP) and behavioral goals.

Assist with development of individual programs for students with behavioral concerns.

Assist teachers and campus staff to collect and monitor IEP data.

Provide direct support to staff with students who demonstrate chronic behavioral needs.

Conduct district-wide staff development.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
