MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of College Academy at all comprehensive high schools.
* Serve as a primary liaison between Office of Advanced Academics and campus administration regarding College Academy communication and procedures.
* Collaborate with Lone Star College for College Academy dual credit courses.
* Review, revise, and update Personal, Academic, and Career Exploration (PACE) course curriculum as needed for College Academy and train teachers who teach these special sections.
* Lead the district's effort to continue and expand College Academy to all high schools.
* Collaborate with grant office to find funding sources to support College Academy materials, tuitions, fees, and teacher training.
* Identify and utilize research-based strategies to support students and increase the participation of under-represented student groups in College Academy.
* Identify tools and provide resources that support academic success and college readiness (TSIA2, PSAT, SAT, ACT, etc.) so that students are ready to take dual credit courses.
* Maintain high levels of collaboration with curriculum staff, counselors, and other departments to ensure that all students receive information, applications, and support regarding College Academy opportunities.
* Facilitate College Academy parent informational meetings.
* Collaborate with and support campus-based College Academy Advisors through training, meetings, data review, and progress monitoring.
* Establish and monitor student progress data to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and the supports offered to students.
* Facilitate middle and high school collaboration supporting students' transition to College Academy in high school.
* Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Advanced Academics
