Job Description Qualifications- Proof of high school graduation or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Flexible and able to adjust your daily routine.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude.
- Physically able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must have one of the following:
- 48 hours of college credits, or
- Associate's or higher degree, or
- Competency on the CFISD proficiency test (score of 70 or above).

Salary / Pay Grade$21,739/IP-2 as approved by the Board of Trustees.
* SSCIP aides earn an additional $3,000 annual stipend.
Essential Functions- Provide instructional support under the supervision of a certified teacher.
- Reinforce academic, social communication, and behavioral skills.
- Work with individual students and small groups.
- Assist with instructional materials and classroom supports.
- Implement classroom routines and individualized supports as directed.
- Support students and social communication, self-regulation, and transitions.
- Assist with daily activities and student independence.
- Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate student progress concerns to the teacher.
- Work collaboratively with staff and participate in training.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Implement proactive behavior supports, including de-escalation techniques.
- Respond to behavioral crises using district-approved techniques.
- Participate in required crisis intervention training.
- Use physical intervention (restraint) only in emergency situations and document in accordance with district procedures.
- Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher, principal or other school personnel supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; other specialized and adaptive equipment used by students.
- Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Frequent walking and reaching.
- Lifting: May require regular heavy lifting (45 pounds or more) and positioning of students with physical disabilities, controlling behavior through physical restraint, assist non-ambulatory students, lift and move adaptive and other classroom equipment; may work prolonged or irregular hours.
- Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, inclement weather), exposure to noise, exposure to biological hazards (bacteria, communicable diseases).
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.
