Job Description

We are seeking a CE Adjunct faculty member to provide teaching and learning activities that support the educational environment of Lone Star College. Primary responsibilities include planning, developing, and teaching courses within the curriculum to facilitate student learning.

• Working knowledge of AISC, AISI, CRSI, and ACI.

The work is predominantly sedentary with occasional light walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers or small parts, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

• Equipment: PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and general office equipment.
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.
• Work performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
• Hours will vary depending on class time; instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

• At least 3 years of documented experience working or teaching in a related field.
• License or appropriate teaching certifications required when teaching courses regulated by a licensing body or certifying authority.

$55.44 per contact hour.
