We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and experienced Infant Teacher to join our school family. This position is much more than babysitting—infant care requires patience, attentiveness, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting each child's development while following all licensing, health, safety, and classroom standards.

The right candidate will have a special gift for comforting infants and reassuring new parents who may be leaving their child in care for the first time. You must be able to build trusting relationships with families through warm, respectful, and consistent communication.

This is also a team-support position
. The applicant must be flexible and willing to provide lunch-break coverage for other teachers and assist in other classrooms as needed. While the infant room will be the primary assignment, all staff members work together to support the needs of the entire school.

Responsibilities
  • Providing loving, responsive, and attentive care
  • Following Texas Minimum Standards and all school policies
  • Maintaining accurate feeding, diapering, sleeping, and daily-care records
  • Supporting age-appropriate learning and developmental activities
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe infant classroom
  • Communicating professionally and compassionately with families

Providing lunch-break coverage for teachers in other classrooms
  • Assisting in other age-group classrooms when needed
  • Working cooperatively with co-teachers and the management team
Qualifications
  • Previous infant or early childhood classroom experience preferred
  • Knowledge of infant development and safe-care practices
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete required training
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work the full scheduled shift
  • Flexibility to work in different classrooms and with multiple age groups
  • A calm, patient, nurturing, and professional presence
  • Ability to meet all state licensing and employment requirements

If you understand that quality infant care is meaningful, skilled work- and you have a heart for babies, families, and teamwork, we would love to meet you.
