Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Cypress, Texas. In this role, you will take ownership of critical accounting functions, ensuring precise financial reporting and supporting the organization's operational goals. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with leadership while contributing to the company's overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

- Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and address any variances promptly.

- Evaluate financial results and deliver insights to management to support informed decision-making.

- Assist with the development of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses to align with company objectives.

- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards to maintain compliance.

- Provide support during external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.

- Mentor entry level accounting staff, reviewing their work and guiding their detail oriented growth.

- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure accurate revenue and expense recognition.

Requirements

- Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting standards.

- Ability to conduct detailed reconciliations and analyze financial variances.

- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial teams.

- High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently.
