As a Medical Technologist at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress, you will competently perform routine and complex laboratory testing using manual and automated methods. You should be able to problem‑solve and report a variety of lab procedures across Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology and Urinalysis with minimal supervision. You will also demonstrate competency in specimen collection, quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities.

• Assist in daily laboratory operation.
• Promote an environment of respect and dignity through positive communication and sensitivity to coworkers’ and patients’ needs.
• Maintain professional and technical competence in the laboratory setting.
• Maintain technical knowledge and skills across all laboratory sections.
• Take responsibility for learning new materials, testing, instrumentation, and other department changes.
• Update supervisor on inventory status and use supplies cost‑effectively.
• Ensure timely reporting of results and coordinate workflow, staffing, and instrument maintenance/repairs to minimize downtime.
• Demonstrate NCMC Core Values.
• Follow all safety rules and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other work as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in a related field.
