Position Title:
Frac Plug Assembler
Wage: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday). First month or two on first shift before transition.
Location:
Cypress, TX 77433.
- Assemble composite frac plugs according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Inspect components for defects, damage, and dimensional accuracy before assembly.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and measuring instruments during the assembly process.
- Perform quality checks on assembled products.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety policies, and manufacturing procedures.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, equipment issues, or process deviations.
- Assist with inventory control, material handling, and organization of work areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, oilfield equipment, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical documents.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to noise and industrial equipment.
- Mechanical assembly experience desired.
- Knowledge of oilfield completion tools and hydraulic fracturing equipment is a plus.
- Quality control and inspection experience preferred.
- Forklift or material handling experience (optional).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods, repetitive hand movements, lifting up to 25 pounds, working in a manufacturing environment following safety procedures and wearing required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
