What you will do in this role
  • Coordinate the nursing care of assigned patients in the unit to provide quality patient care.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria for the appropriate age populations.
  • Provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
  • Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient‑care team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Texas or a Multi‑State Compact License (Employees with an RN Compact License must obtain a Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
  • American Heart Association BLS/ACLS certifications required.
  • One year of Med‑Surg clinical experience as a licensed RN in an acute‑care setting required – telemetry, cardiac, progressive care, PCU, IMCU, IMU, intermediate care, cardiopulmonary.
