Preoperative Registered Nurse

Job Summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Preoperative Registered Nurse to provide safe, high‑quality nursing care in the post‑anesthesia period.

• Care for and manage surgical patients in the post‑anesthesia period.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care independently.
• Collaborate with the patient‑care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism through engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient‑care team.
• Accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or Multi‑State Compact license (employees with RN Compact must obtain Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1 year of pre‑op clinical experience as an RN is highly preferred; critical‑care RN experience in an acute‑care setting will be considered.
