Urgent Care LVN/LPN (Contract) | Cypress, TX
Location: Cypress, TX (on-site, patient-facing)
Type: Contract / Temporary
Schedule: Typically 32–40 hrs/week (often three 10-hour shifts +
every other weekend
). Shifts are generally 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours.
Duration: ~26 weeks (projected through early January 2027)
Pay: $37.17/hr (W2)
We’re hiring an LVN/LPN for a busy outpatient clinical setting. This role requires recent, hands‑on experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or Primary Care—the pace, patient flow, and clinical expectations align closely with those environments.
Must-Have Experience (Read Carefully)To be considered, you must have direct recent experience in at least one of the following:
- Urgent Care
- Emergency Room (ER)
- Primary Care / Family Practice
Important: Candidates whose background is primarily long‑term care (SNF/LTC/LTAC/home health) and does not include urgent/ER/primary care experience are not a fit for this position.
Urgent Care LVN/LPN Responsibilities- Perform patient intake and clinical assessments; document accurately in the EMR
- Administer treatments and medications per protocol
- Provide immunizations/vaccine administration
- Perform phlebotomy and point‑of‑care testing
- Collaborate with the clinical team to support safe, efficient patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active LVN/LPN license in good standing (no current or prior disciplinary actions)
- BLS certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year related healthcare experience
- Strong comfort with EMR systems (
Epic preferred
)
- Initial ~3 weeks of training/orientation (must be able to attend without interruption)
- Schedules built in 6-week blocks after training
- Some major holidays may be required
