Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit or department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an excellent patient experience and clinical outcomes.
WhatYou Will Do in Your Role
- Understand and apply aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and assist with procedures or prep patients for surgery.
- Determine which areas need to be prepped for various procedures.
- Assess patients prior to surgery and confirm that they understand the procedure and participate in a “timeout” with the peri‑operative team.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
- Be accountable for delivering quality nursing care and promoting a positive image of nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or a multi‑state compact license (RNs with the compact license must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum one year of clinical operating room experience as an RN.
- CV experience required.
