HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress invites dynamic Perioperative Registered Nurses—with deep expertise across Operating Room (OR), Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), Circulator, and Scrub RN roles—to apply for the position of Clinical Nurse Coordinator. In this pivotal frontline leadership role, you will orchestrate daily operations across 11 state-of-the-art surgical suites equipped with advanced robotic technology and cutting-edge cardiac instrumentation. Serving a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and a designated Level III Trauma Center, you will coordinate complex, high-acuity workflows, mentor staff, and champion clinical safety. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
What You Will Do In Your Role:
- You will have an understanding of aseptic technique and apply the knowledge in assuring maintenance of a sterile field and in assisting in a procedure or prepping a patient for surgery.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for the different kinds of procedure.
- You will assess the patient prior to surgery and establish that the patient understands the procedure being done and that a "timeout" be done prior to any procedure with the rest of the perioperative team.
- You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
- You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required.
- 1-year of clinical OR experience as a licensed RN required
- CV experience required
