This specialized position is intentionally crafted to attract top-tier Rehabilitation, Inpatient Rehab, Certified Rehabilitation (CRRN), Neuro-Rehab, and Orthopedic Rehab RNs who are passionate about helping patients regain independence and rebuild functional strength. Practicing within our newly expanded, state-of-the-art 23-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit—housed in our brand-new, $100 million North Patient Tower—you will deliver comprehensive, interdisciplinary care using the “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” model.
Working closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, you will lead complex recoveries from stroke, neurological disorders, major orthopedic surgeries, joint replacements, and severe trauma. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”
The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
What you will do in this role:
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental requirements and specific state and specialty practice standards.
- Partner closely with medical providers and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate clinical care.
- Utilize proven, established clinical nursing frameworks, specifically focusing on the "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" methodology.
- Serve as a dedicated advocate for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the entire treatment and recovery process.
- Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and core values to support an unparalleled patient experience.
- Execute daily nursing duties to achieve excellent clinical outcomes that directly boost overall departmental performance.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current BLS issued from American Heart Association required.
- CRRN preferred
- 1 year of clinical Rehab experience as a licensed RN in a hospital setting required; will consider Med-Surg experience.
