• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and performs various tasks within the bakery department.

• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fill and rotate self‑serve displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
• Take special orders and coordinate with the Baker on items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help in department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling in a fast‑paced grocery store environment.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
