Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Duties
You will manage multiple priorities and provide technical recommendations/solutions to complex problems encountered during the administration of the construction contracts.
You will manage the contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensuring timely responses
You will visit construction sites to monitor progress and soliciting daily input from the Engineering Technician/Quality Assurance (ET/QA) representatives and CQC reports.
You will prepare the final documentation and wording for the modification including justification for cost and time involved within limits of COAR authority or in support of the Contracting Officer.
You will review and interpret construction contract drawing and specification requirements to ensure compliance with NAVFAC policies, regulations and codes.
You will prepare construction cost estimates in support of pre-negotiation positions for project changes requiring modifications to the contract cost.
You will assist in negotiation of contract modifications to the extent possible and within designated thresholds under the direction of the ACO to ensure the most fair and reasonable cost is determined.
You will serve as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in the management and administration of construction projects.
