Special Education Teacher - Dahlgren, VA

• Current Virginia Special Education Teaching License (VA SPED) required
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students with adaptive or special needs strongly preferred
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for creating inclusive learning environments and adapting lessons for diverse learners
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
• Deliver engaging instruction and intervention in a self-contained classroom setting
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and support staff
• Foster a positive, growth-focused classroom climate
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP conferences
• Provide guidance and support to classroom assistants as needed
