Distinguished Scientist​/Engineer Hypersonic Weapon Systems Development & Integration

Position: DISTINGUISHED SCIENTIST/ENGINEER for HYPERSONIC WEAPON SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT & INTEGRATION
Duties

• You will lead research in the areas of weapon system technology maturation, weapon system development, weapon system control, weapon system integration, and weapon system test and evaluation.
• You will conduct hypersonic research and development for complex weapon systems.
• You will guide and influence the direction of hypersonic weapon development efforts at the national, international, DoW, and DoN levels.
• You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and tasking across DoW, Joint,  DE, NAVSEA, and NSWCDD.
• You will be expected to perform 50% conducting hypersonic research and development.
• You will influence and advise the Flag/SES level to improve the depth of knowledge of hypersonic weapon system warfare efforts.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret-SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Program Manager, proficiency level B the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

  and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
• This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
