Job Summary
A Software Engineer is needed to evaluate, analyze, and develop integrated systems that include hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure to enhance operational tasks. The role involves working across the full engineering lifecycle, including system design, development, testing, and integration. Responsibilities include developing microelectronics and embedded systems, writing firmware for microcontrollers, and supporting rapid development cycles that balance technical precision with demanding schedules.

An active Secret clearance is required with eligibility to obtain Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Requirements Hardware / Embedded Experience- Experience with the embedded hardware product lifecycle, including design, testing, and integration
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium)
- Experience writing embedded firmware for microprocessors
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Responsibilities Design and Analysis- Translate high-level requirements into integrated engineering designs
- Conduct trade-off analyses (risk, cost, and benefit) for technical decisions such as microprocessor selection
- Design and integrate custom electrical circuits and mechanical packaging
- Develop C/C++ bare-metal firmware using test-driven development practices
- Manage code using Git Lab for configuration management
- Desired:
Develop full-stack applications using technologies such as SQL, C++ services, and React/Next.js
- Conduct developmental testing and evaluation of engineering solutions
- Follow established configuration management and documentation standards
- Strong independent work ethic and ability to manage tasks effectively
- Effective written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability to changing workloads and priorities
- Ability to work primarily in an office or laboratory environment with minimal travel (less than 10%)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
