Systems Engineer, Mid-Level

Overview

Bowhead seeks a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the Counter Unmanned Aerial System Research and Development program in the Hypersonics Division of the Integrated Systems Department in Dahlgren, VA.

Essential functions will include:

• Develop Systems Engineering Plans for weapons system integration onto existing weapon systems platforms.
• Review weapon system requirements and develop ICDs
• Use model based system engineer tools (ex: Cameo)
• Other duties as assigned

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering,scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years professional technical experience which include sat least four (4) years specialized experience performing mechanical, electrical, aerospace,industrial, systems, or computer engineering.
• Engineering experiences include:
  • systems requirements management
  • model based systems engineering design
  • engineering software tool implementation
  • prototype engineering design and product development
  • integration engineering, risk management, and test and evaluation engineering planning and execution
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
