Amentum partners with the Department of War Skill Bridge program to offer transitioning service members an opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through industry‑specific training, mentorship, and hands‑on projects. The program helps translate military skills into a rewarding civilian career while still on active duty.

Provide support to NSWC Dahlgren H20 for AN/SQQ-89 testing at the integrator location (Lockheed Martin/Manassas, VA) for domestic and foreign military sales (FMS) systems.

• Write and execute test cases to exercise the SQQ-89 system and its external interfaces, including AWS, VLS, TSP, and radar
• Document issues observed with SQQ-89 and its interfaces with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce for later analysis
• Review system documentation and requirements and provide technical input to the Systems Engineering team
• Review issues from the Fleet Support team and recreate the issue in the lab for further investigation
• Inspect installation of the SQQ-89 system, ensure SVD compliance, and provide redlined changes as needed
• Collaborate with the integrator’s automated test team to design automated test scripts
• Travel approximately 10% of the time

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with seven years of systems test experience with real‑time weapons, combat, or fire control systems
• US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E6 level or higher with four years of systems test experience in the same domain
• Ten years of systems test experience with real‑time weapons, combat, or fire control systems

• Experience in testing and test analysis of systems or software for surface ship weapons control and C2 systems, including developer/capability level testing, functional level testing, engineering test, integration testing, or AEGIS combat systems integration land‑based testing
• Experience using simulators in a test environment

• Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, and Confluence
• Experience with ASW fire control systems such as AN/SQQ-89
