Junior Test Engineer

Job Overview

The Junior Engineer will support Pulse Current Injection (PCI) and Radio Frequency (RF) testing for US Navy warfare systems at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Electromagnetic Effects Division (B50).

• Perform PCI testing on board Navy ships for Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) assessments.
• Conduct RF and EMP susceptibility testing at Navy test site installations.
• Compute Environmental Electromagnetic Effects (E3) and perform RF modeling and simulation.
• Develop detailed test plans and participate in test planning meetings and readiness reviews.
• Gather, reduce, post‑process, and analyze data.
• Prepare and publish detailed test reports and review technical documentation.
• Support technical meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience in test and evaluation, including theoretical and practical aspects.
• Experience with MATLAB and RF modeling/simulation software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

• Focus on RF/microwave/antenna engineering.
• Experience in RF engineering and analysis.
• Experience in E3/EMI/EMC.
• Experience in RF computation and simulation.

U.S.: $80,000 to $100,000.
