Junior RF Engineering Technician
Amentum is seeking a Junior RF Engineering Technician to support our Dahlgren, Virginia team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Effects Division.
Junior RF Engineering TechnicianResponsibilities Include:
- Operate and maintain equipment necessary to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing.
- Support verification testing of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems.
- Conduct testing to determine whether systems under evaluation meet E3 design specifications.
- Assess the ability of systems to function in their intended operational electromagnetic environment from both a safety and reliability standpoint.
- Interface and communicate directly with customers.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to support a wide variety of test events.
- Travel as required to support testing activities, up to 10% of the time.
- One (1) year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF systems.
- Knowledge of using one or more of the following: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs).
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Note:
US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance. - Candidate must maintain a valid REAL r's license, required for access to the customer site, and have access to reliable transportation, as this position may require travel between local work sites.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- On-the-job mentoring is provided.
- Vocational or technical training beyond high school.
Compensation Details:
US: 24.68
