• Strong understanding of how Tactical Data Links and Ballistic Missile Defense systems work.
Hands-on experience with AEGIS systems, CEC, and related Tactical Data Links is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage the entire test execution lifecycle, including international coalition coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, review, and oversee test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Strong organizational skills for collecting and managing Test Requirement Forms (TRFs) from MTMD-F working groups.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to brief leadership and collaborate with multinational partners.

Job Description:

Seeking a skilled AEGIS Test Engineer with expertise in Tactical Data Links and experience in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD). A strong understanding of the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) is a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing an AEGIS test environment and working with multi-national coalition Test Planning & Execution (TP&E) partners to develop test plans and procedures.

They must also demonstrate the ability to present detailed test plans and outcomes to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Core Technical & Domain Expertise
    • Missile/Defense Systems: o Expertise in relevant systems, including Aegis Weapon System (BL3.6, BL4, BL5, BL7.2, BL8/9, BL10), AN/SPY-1/AN/SPY-6 radars, CEC, THAAD, Aegis Ashore, Patriot, SSDS, JTT, and more.
    • Tactical Data Links (TDL) & Networks: o Familiarity with tactical links such as Link 16, Link 22, Link 11, SAT Link 16, JREAP, CDLMS, and TDL architectures.
    • Testing & Evaluation (T&E): o Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation, live missile firing events, and Test Planning & Execution operations.
    • Extensive coordination with coalition partner nations.
  • Core Duties & Test Execution Lifecycle The role spans various stages of the CDEP Annual Test Event Cycle, including Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Post-Test Reviews.
  • Phase 1:
    Program Initiation & Governance
    • Lead coalition kickoff meetings to review agendas, lessons learned, and planning sessions.
    • Manage Test Requirement Forms (TRFs) and consolidate a Master Requirement Document.
    • Lead weekly international TP&E working group meetings to track TRF progression and schedule updates. Phase 2:
    Planning, Documentation & Readiness Reviews
    • Define, review, and manage test plans and procedures (~25-30 of each).
    • Direct Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) to validate archived data and prepare for execution pipelines.
    • Prepare weekly execution schedules with full configuration and readiness reviews. Phase 3:
    Test Run Execution & Coordination
    • Oversee multi-unit and single-unit scenario testing with an emphasis on throughput and efficiency.
    • Validate test runs through multiple repetitions for high-fidelity data output.
    • Manage test readiness audits, troubleshoot, and resolve system limitations. Phase 4:
    Post-Test Analysis & Risk Management
    • Provide test progress and Comprehensive Event Reviews to stakeholders.
    • Monitor and update the Formal Run Matrix (100–150 test cases) for accuracy and completeness.
    • Identify risks, evaluate system failures, and develop mitigation strategies. This job requires prior experience in AEGIS defense systems-testing, BMD, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-faceted operational test environment. Candidates with prior TP&E experience and extensive expertise in AEGIS-specific applications and coalition efforts will be highly valued.

    Compensation: $60-70/hour
