Secret Cleared Advanced Cost Analyst

This is a contract role through September 30, 2026

Our client is seeking an experienced Advanced Cost Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This individual will play a critical role in developing and maintaining cost estimates for complex DoD weapon system programs, supporting acquisition decisions, budget planning, and lifecycle cost analysis.

• Develop and maintain Lifecycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) for DoD programs
• Build and analyze cost models using ACEIT and other cost estimating tools
• Apply cost estimating methodologies, including:
• Analogy, Parametric, Engineering Build-Up, and Extrapolation from Actuals
• Develop and structure Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with DoD standards
• Perform cost risk and uncertainty analysis
  , including Monte Carlo simulations
• Conduct data analysis and normalization
  , including regression analysis (OLS) and cost estimating relationships (CERs)
• Support budget submissions, acquisition strategies, and program baselines
• Perform Analyses of Alternatives (AoA), Business Case Analyses (BCA), and affordability assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support program cost decisions
• Participate in reviews with program offices and organizations such as OSD CAPE

• 7+ years of experience in cost estimating or cost analysis supporting DoD or federal programs
• Proficiency with ACEIT (Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool)
• Strong experience with LCCE, IGCE, and cost modeling
• Experience with cost risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulation
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, Operations Research, or related field

• Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or similar DoD programs
• Familiarity with COSTAT or other cost tools
• Experience working with OSD CAPE or high-level acquisition reviews
• Advanced knowledge of DoD inflation guidance, learning curves, and CER development
