The Data Network Analyst provides subject matter support for our DoD clients including assessments, data analysis, and documentation development. The Analyst is responsible for providing support to their clients by executing assigned tasks on time and by ensuring the highest quality of project requirements and deliverables. This position requires accountability, functional expertise, regular communication, teamwork, effective time management, creativity, and continuous training and education to stay informed on evolving information and operational technology advancements.
An understanding of existing and emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies are key aspects of success in this position.
- Support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren (NSWCD) Mission Assurance Division with OT, IT, and telecommunications dependency or mission mapping, mission assurance tasks and commercial utility mission analysis and assessments to identify risk to DoD assets, missions and critical utility infrastructure
- Develop site reports as requested that identify DoD and non-DoD infrastructure, vulnerabilities and develop sound executable recommendations from a risk management perspective
- Review and advise on data and telecommunications related policies, orders and directives as needed to continuously enhance knowledge and expertise to best support client and project tasks
- Participate in conferences, working groups, meetings, and other events as needed
- Adhere to all RMC company policies and consistently perform to the standards set in job description respectively
- Excellent writing skills, strong communication abilities, good time management and organizational skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools and applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Share Point
- Work confidently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to support multiple projects
- Ability to perform analysis of complex technical issues
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with minimal direction to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative to help ensure team tasks are successfully completed within required timelines
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside-the-box
- Strong understanding of DoD organizational structure and general processes
- Knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF)
- Working knowledge of DoD IT networks and enclaves
- Working knowledge of Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN)
- Ability to identify vulnerabilities that impact communications facilities and service provisioning
- Working knowledge of government and public laws, directives, policies, and instructions governing telecommunications
- Working knowledge of radio wave propagation and frequency spectrum bands
- Bachelor’s degree and 4-10 years experience in the IT, Network or Telecommunications field
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Network+
- Certified Telecommunications Analyst (CTA)
- Security Clearance:
Obtaining a DoD Top Secret Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for clearance level required for the job. - Valid Passport:
Possession of a current passport with a minimum of 8 months remaining until the expiration date. - Travel Flexibility:
Willingness and capability to travel, CONUS and OCONUS approximately 25% of the time. - Work Environment Compliance:
Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment, U.S. Citizenship, and possession of a valid state driver's license.
