Duties
- You will serve as an Engineer or Scientist within the Software Engineering and Development Division, Integrated Combat Systems Department of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.
- You will lead efforts to design, develop, integrate, implement, test, and field Combat Systems utilizing a Dev Sec Ops approach.
- You will be responsible for conducting software engineering and development activities for various platform services, including high availability, log aggregation, and security.
- You will document work including technical reports, presentations, testing, and specification change request, applying problem solving and analysis skills to evaluate Command and Control Systems software.
- You will analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of a new application or modification of an existing application.
- You will consult with other developers and engineers to evaluate hardware and software interfaces.
- You will consult with end users and stakeholders about software system design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 621, proficiency level (B) Basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames. - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
