Electronics Maintenance Technician II (H)
Bowhead seeks an Electronics Maintenance Technician II to support a newly awarded contract in Dahlgren, VA. This contract will provide configuration management (CM), logistics, mechanical and electrical engineering technician services, field service support, project management, drafting and design, technical writing, and acquisition services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems (H40) Division and Intelligent Automation (H60) Division.
Responsibilities- Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
- Requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices
- Works under immediate supervision and receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam
- Four (4) years of full-time professional experience working as an Electronics Technician or related field, providing technical support related to hardware assembly, installation, and maintenance
- Experience operating electronic assembly tools such as soldering, cutters, crimpers, heat guns, labelers, ESD testers, continuity testers, volt meters, oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzers
- Desirable certifications: IPC J-STD-001 Solder; IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies; IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards; IPC-WHMA-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies; IPC-7711B/7721B Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
