We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to support a potential client in Dahlgren and Dam Neck, Virginia.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide subject‑matter expertise in facilities planning, space management strategies, Facilities Data Management Systems (FDMS), Facilities Service Request Module (FSRM), Personnel Locator System, Internet Navy Facilities Assets Data Store (iNFADS), NAVFAC's MAXIMO system, and Basic Facilities Requirements.
- Serve as database administrator for FDMS and FSRM, and support the Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) program.
- Plan and coordinate the Infrastructure Board (IB) meetings, including scheduling, facilitating sessions, and following up on agreed actions.
- Schedule and coordinate Facilities Tactical Group (FTG) activities such as planning meetings, inspections, and observations.
- Act as the subject‑matter expert for space management and space utilization data, resolving technical and support customer issues.
- Annually lead and coordinate the SRM project selection and ranking process, tracking project progress, addressing issues, and coordinating funding.
- Interact with all levels of staff and other Navy activities to resolve issues.
- Secret Clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Four (4) years of experience working as a subject‑matter expert in analytical techniques to design and conduct management studios and develop recommendations.
- Ability to prepare written reports and make oral presentations.
- Ability to serve as an authoritative management advisor.
- Ability to represent a large RDT&E organization on facilities matters.
- Working knowledge of the Navy Working Capital Fund; expert knowledge of Navy facilities and space management regulations, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Broad knowledge of Navy public works services to analyze and advise on services, costs, resource constraints, and alternatives.
- Ability to develop detailed facilities requirements and associated cost analysis in an RDT&E setting.
- Knowledge of facilities and space management automated tools to optimize management oversight and control of assigned facilities. Ability to tour inside and outside facilities in hot and cold environments for assessment purposes.
- Bachelor’s Degree
