Job DescriptionTRAINING SPECIALIST SENIOR – AEGIS Fire Control System (FCS) Technician Trainer at Aegis Training and Readiness Center, Dahlgren VA.

Responsibilities- Serve as a Journeyman Instructor to train CG/DDG sailors in the preventative and corrective maintenance of MK‑99 AEGIS Fire Control System, MK84 400
Hz Power Distribution System, and Air Cooled Solid State Frequency Power Generation System on Baseline 5.4 and higher AEGIS units (CG and DDG). - Provide subject‑matter expertise in support of curriculum development for ATRC courses supporting present and future courses development of the AEGIS MK‑99 AEGIS Fire Control System / MK84 400
Hz Power Distribution System / Ballistic Missile Defense Technician courses.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training or work/military experience. - Experience:
Seven (7) years of experience with the required system or process as either a maintenance technician manager or operator manager with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment, including one (1) year as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment. - Additional qualifications:
NEC 1148/V28A (FCS/ORTS COTS) or NEC 1143/V23A (FCS/ORTS MILSPEC) or NEC 1114/V14A FCS BMD 3.6) or NEC 1094/1095/V05A/V06A FCS BMD 4.0/5.0 and MSS TACAP MILSPEC or COTS and NEC 9502/805A (instructor). Experience as a qualified MSS and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of SCSTC/TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus. - Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.
