Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Software Engineer position located in Dahlgren, VA. The Software Engineer will be responsible for safety-critical software development for missile systems and weapon system test equipment. The ideal candidate will drive design, development, integration, and test efforts for Aegis Weapon Systems.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in software engineering and writing code in C++ and Vx Works
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience supporting Aegis BMD, AAW, and missile flight test programs
- Familiarity with Standard Missile initialization messages and telemetry formats
- Experience with hardware/software integration for missile simulators and test equipment
- Experience with VxWorks RTOS, including SMP and multi-core architectures
