We are seeking a Journeyman Software Developer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA, supporting the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC). This role offers the chance to work on high-visibility projects that directly support national defense objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data-driven applications using relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#, .NET, .NET Core, Web API, MVC, and LINQ.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab to streamline deployments and maintain code quality.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Apply foundational software engineering best practices to support mission-critical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience with C#, Python, or Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools (Git Lab preferred).
• Knowledge of application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of programming fundamentals and software architecture patterns.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+ or equivalent) within 30 days of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active or eligible Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Scripting experience with Power Shell or Python.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or Large Language Models.
