Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Student Assistant position with the Mike Cottrell College of Business on the Dahlonega campus. The Dean's Office is seeking a Student Assistant that can perform a wide variety of administrative functions to support the Dean's Office and other departments as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers of the department, or other personnel of the college.
  • Assess customer needs and direct visitors to the appropriate points of contact.
  • Assist in resolving inquiries and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Operate a computer and use a variety of office software applications to complete projects.
  • Manage office supply inventory.
  • Receive mail/deliveries for the department.
  • Provide assistance to MCCB Student Success Center staff & MCCB Dean's Office staff (includes special projects or data entry).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable, professional, and proactive.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot standard office equipment.
  • Ability to operate a variety of computer and software packages, including MS Office Suite.
  • Creative problem solving.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
