Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Management & Information Systems department on the Dahlonega campus. Assist the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation with program coordination, event support and administrative tasks, such as scheduling, communications and data tracking. Support student and community engagement initiatives by promoting events, managing social media or outreach efforts, and providing on-site assistance during workshops and programs.

Gain hands‑on experience in entrepreneurship by contributing to special projects, research and innovation‑focused activities while working closely with staff and student founders.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations of the Center by handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, communications and maintaining organized records.
  • Assist with planning and executing events, workshops, and programs, including setup, promotion, and on‑site coordination.
  • Contribute to outreach and engagement efforts by helping manage social media, track participation metrics and support special projects related to entrepreneurship and innovation.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong organizational, communication and time‑management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic office and digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office), along with attention to detail and reliability.
  • Interest in entrepreneurship and innovation, with a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
