Job SummaryThe University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Group Fitness Instructor on the Dahlonega Campus. Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading multiple group fitness classes that range in variety and levels, including counting, cueing, organizing, and choreography. The chosen candidate will be a knowledgeable and energetic individual interested in promoting fitness on campus.
Responsibilities- Provide group workouts to varying age and skill range for participants in small and large group settings, including counting, cueing, organizing, and choreography.
- Maintain group fitness equipment, rooms, and storage areas.
- Wear Campus Recreation and Wellness attire and a name tag while on duty or representing the department at events.
- Implement university and recreation facility rules and procedures.
- Assist with special events, as requested by supervisor.
- Respond to emergencies following the CRW Emergency Action Plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with peers, university employees, and possibly community agencies.
- Ability to teach at a variety of times in conjunction with the CRW Recreation Center schedule.
- Ability to conduct safe and effective classes.
- High School Diploma

- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and to be able to communicate effectively with their peers, University employees and possibly, community agencies.
- At least 6 months of experience leading Group Fitness classes
The proposed salary for this position is: $15.50 per hour.
