Job SummaryThe University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Modern languages department
- Japanese Program on the Dahlonega campus. The Japanese Program at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for Japanese peer tutors for AY . Japanese peer tutors will help students from the Elementary and Intermediate Japanese courses offered by the University and will assist the faculty with other services provided by the program for the students.
- Tutor all students from first- and second-year Japanese courses by answering their grammar-related questions.
- Have speaking practice sessions with students.
- Assist in the general operation of the Japanese Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Japanese Program.
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
- A grade of an A in the introductory sequence required for first-year Japanese (i.e., JAPN 1001/1002)
- Must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.0
- Optional: A grade of an A in the intermediate sequence required for second-year Japanese (i.e., JAPN 2001/2002) and/or higher-level courses (e.g., JAPN 3001/3002, etc.)
