The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Hall County Library System Spout Springs Branch. Responsibilities include returning books and other library materials to shelves in the Adult Services and Youth Services areas and assisting with program preparation and support.
Responsibilities- Checks returned materials for damage.
- Loads carts for shelving.
- Shelves library materials.
- Checks shelves to maintain materials in proper order.
- Assists with programming and program registration as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Basic clerical skills.
- Understanding of alphabetical and numerical order.
- Familiarity with the Dewey Decimal Classification system.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patrons and staff.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds and push a cart containing materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to bend at the knees, waist, and reach over head.
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
