The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for an Intramural Sports Official Student Assistant – Institutional Student Worker. This student will report to the Campus Recreation & Wellness Department Intramural Sports Coordinator and will be responsible for assisting with the overall function and operation of the intramural sports program.
Responsibilities- Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure the safety of all patrons
- Officiating sports
- Wearing proper attire as dictated by the role
- Attending training and review sessions
- Customer service
- Pre and post‑game preparations and duties
- Maintain sports equipment and log usage
- Assist with promoting fitness, recreation and wellness programs
- Must have a strong interest in sports, with prior experience in competing or officiating.
- Staying composed during confrontations with an understanding of conflict resolution.
- Strong communication skills with knowledge of sport rules and how to communicate/enforce them.
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
- Must be a current student in good standing at the University of North Georgia with a minimum 2.5 GPA to qualify as a Campus Recreation & Wellness student worker.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain upon employment).
