Youth Services Specialist –
Lumpkin County Library.
Full-time
, non-exempt 40 hrs/week, Monday-Friday.
Some Nights and Some Saturdays required.
Starting salary is $35,360.00 with excellent state health benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance. The Chestatee Regional Library System participates in Teachers Retirement System of Georgia.
The Youth Services Specialist is a public facing position, responsible for coordinating reference and information services to youth (ages 0-15) and providing programs for young people and their parents relevant to community needs. Plans and implements the Summer Reading Programs for children and teens. Strong computer and technology skills required.
Supervises the branch in the absence of the branch manager. Reports to the Branch Manager.
Education requirement – at least two years of college, or two years of public library experience or proven experience working with children will be accepted in lieu of education and a high school diploma or GED.
