The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership on the Gainesville campus. The Graduate Assistant for the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership's Student Leadership Programs area plays a vital role in fostering student engagement, belonging, leadership skills, and personal development within the university community and beyond. This position assists the Student Leadership Programs area with various initiatives and programs ranging from the Leadership Certificate Program to Alternative Breaks Program whose efforts all aimed at empowering students to become effective, engaged, and successful individuals.
Responsibilities- Assist with planning, promoting, and implementing signature volunteer and service events (Alternative Service Breaks, Days of Service, ACT NOW, etc.)
- Coordinate leadership development programs and activities that build leadership capacity in both student leaders. Programs include the Leadership Certificate Program as well as new initiatives targeted at general student body.
- Develop marketing materials and promotional campaigns to increase awareness of leadership development programs and activities.
- Assist in developing initiatives targeted at community partners and overall volunteer tracking.
- Complete general office, administrative tasks, and attend regularly scheduled staff meetings for the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership
- Knowledge of UNG Connect preferred.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Event planning knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Enrollment in a graduate program at the University.
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
- Experience with event planning and student leadership programs/community service organizations preferred.
