Job SummaryThe University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for up to multiple Graduate Assistants in the Department of Accounting & Law on the Dahlonega campus. The graduate assistants will work closely with the ACLA department head and faculty in performing any number of accounting (research and/or teaching) related duties. This position will include a tuition waiver.

What do you hope to learn as a graduate assistant in the Department of Accounting & Law?
- Teaching activities – assist department professors with instruction, including assisting with lectures, recording attendance, grading assignments, proctoring examinations, holding office hours, shredding individualized materials, etc. The teaching assistant will not have primary responsibility for a course or serve as the instructor of record.
- Tutoring – assist tutoring services as needed and serve as liaison between department and tutoring services to connect accounting students with tutors; tutor accounting students individually or in groups.
- Research activities – engage in literature reviews, data collection (qualitative and quantitative), analysis, and research preparation; participate in institutional review board processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills and abilities.
- Excellent Excel and documentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree required by start of program.
- Must be enrolled in Master of Accountancy with a minimum of 9 credit hours by time of hire. Must maintain a MAcc GPA of 3.0 in the program.
- Experience in Excel and familiarity with statistical programs and databases including SPSS, MS Access and R is a plus.
