CAD Technician

Satellite Industries seeks a CAD Technician to support design and manufacturing of portable sanitation products. In this role, you will create and revise 2D/3D models, drawings, and assemblies for plastic and metal components, ensuring manufacturability and accuracy to industry and company standards. You'll collaborate with engineers, production, and procurement to implement design changes, update BOMs, and maintain CAD databases. The position supports continuous improvement, product durability, and cost efficiency while working in a practical, hands-on manufacturing environment serving global sanitation customers.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 2

• D CAD models and detailed drawings for plastic and metal components
• Prepare production-ready drawings, GD&T, and documentation to manufacturing standards
• Collaborate with engineers, production, and procurement on design changes and feasibility
• Maintain CAD files, BOMs, and revision control within PDM/PLM systems
• Support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and durability enhancements in product design
• Perform basic tolerance stack-ups and fit checks for assemblies
• Review and interpret engineering specifications and customer requirements
• Provide CAD support for prototypes, testing fixtures, and product modifications
