The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Student Network Technician on the Dahlonega Campus. This position provides basic technical support for network and telecommunications systems. Assists Network & Telecom staff with routine operational and maintenance tasks. Gains hands-on experience in enterprise networking environments while supporting daily IT operations.

• Assist with installation, labeling, and organization of network equipment and cabling.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting under supervision.
• Help maintain inventory of network hardware and supplies.
• Update documentation, diagrams, and asset records.
• Respond to routine service requests and support tickets.
• Follow established IT policies, procedures, and safety standards.

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and technology concepts.
• Willingness to learn networking and telecommunications systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.

• Enrollment in University of North Georgia, preferably in the

  Computer Science or Computer Information Systems program.
