Description:
The organization is looking for a Registered Nurse to care for patients in a newly acquired residential facility.
The organization is committed to helping individuals achieve lasting sobriety through comprehensive care and compassionate support.
The Registered Nurse will complete admission procedures, which may include paperwork and orientation of individuals.
The role involves monitoring urinalysis collection and thoroughly searching individuals' belongings upon admission for forbidden items.
The Registered Nurse will administer and read the tuberculosis skin test.
Documentation of nursing assessments, treatment plans, physician orders, progress notes, and other individual-related data is essential.
Direct care will be provided to individuals served.
The Registered Nurse will monitor for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
Medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management will be conducted under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Monitoring for changes in condition is a key responsibility.
The Registered Nurse will maintain a hygienic and safe work environment in compliance with healthcare procedures.
All necessary documentation must be maintained and accurate Medication Administration Records must be updated.
The role includes managing and administering medication as ordered by the Medical Director.
Providing directions to technicians on the assigned shift is required.
The Registered Nurse will develop treatment plans with individuals to address medical issues.
Emotional support through listening, counseling, and answering questions will be provided.
Consultation with in-house staff and other professionals to ensure comprehensive, quality care for clients is necessary.
Referrals for identified needs that cannot be met by the organization will be provided.
Maintaining professional boundaries with clients and interacting with them in an appropriate manner is essential.
All other related duties as assigned are expected.
The RN to Patient Ratio is 1:30, depending on activity.
The electronic medical record system used is Kipu.
Any color scrubs are acceptable as part of the dress code.
